Privacy Policy

Industry Math (https://industrymath.com) is operated by Adam Yong from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This policy explains what data the site collects, how it is used, and what your rights are.

What we collect

The site is a static publication. It does not require an account, ask for personal information, or run lead-capture forms. The only data routinely processed is:

  • Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
  • Anonymous, aggregated analytics if we run them — page views and referrers, not personal identifiers. These are documented here when active.
  • Email correspondence sent to hi@industrymath.com, which we keep so we can respond and follow up.

Embedded content

Story pages embed YouTube videos using a click-to-load facade. The video is only loaded when you click play; until then, no request is made to YouTube. Once you click play, YouTube's privacy policy applies to the embedded player.

Cookies

The site does not set first-party cookies for tracking. Third-party services you interact with (YouTube once loaded, AI assistants if you click the "Ask AI" buttons) may set their own cookies under their own policies.

How we use the data

  • To operate the site and keep it secure.
  • To understand which stories readers are reading (aggregate counts only).
  • To respond to email correspondence.

We do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold any personal data about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hi@industrymath.com with the request and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Source corrections

Separately from this policy: if a number in an article does not trace cleanly to its named source, email the specific number, the article URL, and the source you would use instead. Corrections are dated on the article.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and the prior text will be retained on request for a reasonable period.
